The Automated Scheduling Tool

Model Software designed and programmed the Automated Scheduling Tool (AST) as an integral component of the U.S. Joint Air Logistics Information System (JALIS). Once placed in production, the AST relieves JALIS operators of assembling flight schedules by hand. Considering more possible combinations and options than previously possible, the AST will assist Department of Defense personnel in constructing the best flight schedules for both meeting the needs of travel requestors and making the most efficient use of the transport fleet.
